So it's that time of the year ... well, Christmas of course, but that's not what I meant. I mean that time of year when the Global FlyFisher must be upgraded. Sometimes these upgrades are trivial, just a matter of downloading some more recent code and uploading it to the server.> But this time around, it's major upgrade to a vastly changed version of the system behind the site. But that will all take place behind the curtains, and meanwhile you can enjoy the tying and fishing related content on the site, like Bob Petti's impressing piece on hair winged salmon flies, Nick Thomas' numerous fly patterns and my own book reviews (Barry Ord Clarke's latest book among them). So with a little luck, the next newsletter will be sent from the new system. All content, user accounts, subscriptions etc. will be carried over, so nothing will be lost. A lot of work, yes, but hoperfully worth it, and a guarantee that the site will run for many years to come. Martin
