Here we will be tying the fly Master Splinter (MS) that's a modern mouse imitating fly by a man named Joe Cermele. The MS fly reminds strongly to another older pattern called Gurgler. The MS is different when it comes to the materials used for it. The MS is an excellent option for both stream and lake fishing and has become one of the most popular mouse pattern today. The MS catches mostly brown trout, seatrout and other ferocious predators that lurk in the deep like pike, musky and bass. The Master Splinter is a really easy and simple to tie, way easier than older mouse imitate pattern made out of Elk and deer hair. MS is a fly that's totally worth keeping a few in your box when you go fishing for big brown trout or other predators, I recommend to enjoy fishing the MS right before and into the twilight and even into the dark hours.
